Group classes are on Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday and are limited to a maximum of 10 participants. Members can register for up to two group classes weekly.

The new schedule allows us to stagger the arrival of fencers as well as give us time to disinfect the club

Local fencers from the Hooked on Fencing club have medaled in the 2012 National Championships and North American Cup that were held in Anaheim, California from June 29th to July 8th.

Saturday, June 30th 2012 Hooked on Fencing Coach Walt Dragonetti won gold in the veternas 50 Men's epee out of 69 competitors. Coach Walt Dragonetti from Elyria, Ohio will be representing USA in the Veteran World Championships held in Krems Austria in October 2012. He previously won gold the Veteran World Championships in 2009, bronze in 2008 and silver in 2007

Sunday, July 1st 2012 Courtney Dumas from Shaker Heights, Ohio medaled in the Division I-A Women's Epee Championships finishing 6th out of 73 competitors. Courtney also medaled on Independence Day in the North American Cup Under 19 Women's Epee where she finished 5th out of 186 competitors. Courtney is attending the Northwestern University where she finished her first year 15th in the NCAA Championships.

Monday, July 2nd 2012 Ian Broderick from Hudson Ohio medaled in the Division I-A Men's Epee finishing 8th out of 64 competitors. Ian also competed in the Youth 19 Men's epee North American Cup where he finished 10th out of 268 competitors from around the country. Ian plans on attending Notre Dame this fall.

Tuesday, July 3rd 2012 Harrison Kimatian from Richfield, Ohio won gold in the Youth 10 Men's Epee North American Cup, in the pools he went undefetead getting 28 touches against his opponents and only getting hit 3 times. The Youth 10 event had 60 competitors from around the country. Harrison finished the year as number one in the country in Youth 10 Men's Epee. Harrison also competed in the Youth 12 Men's Epee where he finished 16th out of 127 competitors.

Sunday, July 8th 2012 Michael Billinghurst (Lagrance, OH), Matt Bogard (Westlake, OH), Ian Broderick (Hudson, OH) and Dale Purdy (Ligionier, PA) won bronze in the Under 19 Team Men's Epee North American Cup. There were 49 teams from around the country that participated in the team event.
