Renovation Update
I would like to thank everyone that has donated and volunteered their time to the renovation project! As of today we have raised $3700 which brings the total to $7400 with the matching help by the anonymous donor.
I'm happy to announce that we are very close on having aluminium on all the strips. We are about $600 short (before being matched by the anonymous donor, donation are still welcomed and still matched). We will know for sure once the aluminium order is finalized in the next few days but based on previous quotes, it looks good for an all aluminium strip club!
All this would not have been possible without the help of our donors and the people that volunteered! In total there were 40 volunteers putting over 503 hours in to complete this project!
And of course, a BIG THANK YOU to Scott Maurer and his family on planing and organizing this renovation effort as a part of his Eagle Scout service project!
We also had support from the following companies: Bedford Home Depot, Strongsville Lowe's, Solon Valley Hardware, Solon Carter Lumber and Star Crane & Hoist for allowing us to use their dumpster
New Fencing Season
The new USFA fencing starts on August 1st. We can look forward to many great competitions in this coming season! What this means, though, is that everyone must renew their membership in the United States Fencing Association. There is now a new simplified system that can be accessed through the USFencing website . For non-competitive members, the USFA requires you to have a non-competitive membership for insurance purposes; you can follow the same link and choose the non-competitive membership which is $10 per year. If you are not sure which option you should choose, ask us at the club. It's important that all of our members have up-to-date membership!
Than you,
~Johnny
