Weapon Repair Class
Just a reminder, we are holding an Equipment Repair Class at 2:00pm this Saturday. This class is open to both fencers and parents. We will discuss basic maintenance, diagnosing problems, and most importantly for parents, how to quickly remedy some of the common equipment problems that might occur at a tournament. This is sure to be useful information for everyone. There is no cost for the class, and it will run approximately 2 hours. See you there!
Club Championships
Our next Club Championships will be held on February 5th and 7th. This in-house tournament is casual, and a great chance to experience competition in a comfortable environment. All of our members are encouraged to participate: the more people who show up, the more fencing, the more fun! The Open event will be on Friday the 5th, and all of the youth events will be held on Sunday the 7th. You can check the schedule here . Make sure you arrive BEFORE your event's start time!
Opportunity to Host Foreign Exchange Student
To all our fencing families: there is an exciting opportunity available to host a 15-year-old male fencer from Germany for the 2016/17 school year! One of the goals of the program is to place students in families with a shared interest such as fencing. Please carefully consider whether you are able and willing to fulfill this role. It is a big commitment, but it could be a great experience both for this young man and for your family! Contact us if you would like more information about the process.
Genesis Accounting
Tax season is here, if you need some assistance, it could be a good time to check out our sponsor, Genesis Accounting! Their information can be found on the left-hand side. Make sure to tell them HoF sent you!
Have a good week,
-Nick
