USFA Supporting Membership

Northern Ohio Division will be holding elections for new board members

FEBRUARY 1ST is the LAST DAY to register as a supporting member!

Next month, the Northern Ohio Division (that's our division!) will be holding elections for new board members. The board makes decisions that can affect our division competitions, our club, and our fencers. We would therefore like to have board members in place who can run the division smoothly and allow our club to thrive. You can help make the difference.

Every USFA competitive member over the age of 18 can vote in the upcoming elections. Additionally, if you are the parent of a fencer under the age of 18, you can also vote by becoming a USA Fencing Supporting member. The Supporting Membership costs for a parent of a competitive membership fencer is only $10, $25 for a non-competitive member. This membership will allow you to have a say in your child's involvement in the sport. However, the deadline is fast approaching.

To register as a s supporting member, please visit , choose No to "Does USA Fencing have your profile?" and create an online membership profile for yourself and select the membership type that applies to you

If you are not sure what membership your child has, you can check t the USFA database at by putting your child's last name and clicking search. Or reply to this email and I can look it up for you.

This is how USFA describes the Supporting Membership

"Supporting Membership: Supporting members enjoy the rights, benefits, and privileges of membership with respect to voting and holding office; supporting members may not compete in USA Fencing sanctioned competitions. Supporting members may upgrade to a competitive membership upon payment of dues equivalent to the current competitive rate. Supporting membership add-ons are available for parents of competitive members under the age of 18, with a limit of two add-on supporting memberships. "
