Lauryn DeLuca Qualifies for Paralympics!
Big congratulations to Lauryn DeLuca for WINNING the Pan American Wheelchair Championships in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and qualifying for the Paralympic games! Hard work pays off, and she will be traveling to Rio in September to represent the US. Make sure you fence her this summer as she prepares for the Paralympics! Great job, Lauryn!
Club Championships

Iron Knight
Our annual Iron Knight tournament will be held on Sunday, June 12th. This is always one of our best and biggest tournaments. Check out the link above for all the info. A giant round-robin with untimed bouts, this event is not for the faint of heart! Come and try to become this year's Iron Knight!
Summer Camps
Don't forget to sign up soon for our Summer camps! We may attract some fencers from elsewhere if attendance looks good! We are hosting two camps this summer:
On July 11-15, we will hold our first ever HoF Youth Camp ! The youth camp is open to all fencers aged 10-12; you can follow the link above for more information or to sign up online. This camp will involve games, new skills, and a big emphasis on fun.
Then, on August 8-12, we will again hold our Advanced Epee Camp . This camp is for all competitive membership fencers age 13 and above, and is designed to provide some higher-intensity training for athletes preparing for the upcoming competitive season. All the important info can be found at the link above.
Tuesday Morning Training
Beginning Tuesday, June 7th, we will once again be holding practice sessions on Tuesday mornings throughout the summer. These are extra practices for our competitive fencers; they are meant to supplement regular practice and will focus on building fitness and stamina, as well as an opportunity for more competitive fencing. Practice will be 9:30-12:00, and you should expect to arrive on time and stay the duration if you attend. The cost of these summer practices is $100. Let us know if you have any questions. Summer training begins June 7th!
Summer Cookout
Our annual summer cookout will be held on Monday, July 18th. This is a great chance for our entire fencing family to get together. More details to come... for now, put it on your calendars!
Have a good week,
-Nick
