Closed for Thanksgiving

Next week, we will be closed only for Thanksgiving on Thursday, 11/27/14. We will be open on both the preceding Wednesday and the following Saturday. Have a great and safe Thanksgiving!

Equipment Gifts

The holidays are coming, and fencing equipment makes a great gift! All competitive fencers should own at least 2 weapons, 2 body cords, a mask, a glove, a jacket, knickers, an underarm protector and socks. If your fencer's arsenal is incomplete, consider gifting some equipment this year! We also offer spiritwear such as warm-ups, hoodies and T-shirts. It does take time, however, to process orders, so get your equipment requests in soon. We will be announcing a cut-off date for orders, but play it safe and get your shopping done early!

Electric Epee Raffle

After a successful raffle last year, we will once again be raffling away a brand new, complete wired epee! Raffle tickets will cost $5 apiece. You can purchase as many as you like. The raffle will be held at our Christmas party on 12/17/14. You do not have to be present to win. The epee will feature a standard Leon Paul blade (if you use something else, and win, you can pay the difference if you like). Tickets can be purchased in person at the club or online .

Christmas Party and Awards Night

Our annual Christmas party will be held this year on Wednesday, December 17th. All of our members are invited; let's make it a good one! You can bring a dish or dessert to share, although it is not required. We will be giving out our annual awards, holding a one-touch tournament, and having a Christmas present raffle, like last year. To be entered in this raffle, all you have to do is show up! There may be a few other surprises as well. The doors will open at 5:00, the one-touch tournament will take place at 6:00, and awards will be presented at 7:30. See you there!

Upcoming Classes

New beginners classes are starting in January, for both Youths and Adults. If you know anyone who might be interested in fencing, tell them about our classes! Most people would love to try a new, exciting sport, if someone only introduced them! You can find our class information here .

Buccaneers

We need some new fencers for our Buccaneers class! This beginner-level class is for fencers ages 6-8 to learn the sport in a safe and fun environment, and meets at 4:30 every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. This is a great opportunity for younger siblings of our fencers, as well as any other young kids who might be interested! If you know someone who is interested, email me or inquire at the club for more information.
