HoF Closed on 7/2/14 and 7/3/14
FFFFF Night
The next FFFFF Night is Friday, June 13th. Doors will open at around 5:30, there will be fencing, pizza and hangout starting at 6:00, and we will start our feature film around 8:00-8:30. Members of all ages are welcome to come, and feel free to bring friends (although friends cannot fence). We will be voting on two movie choices. As always, the movie is a surprise (parents of younger fencers, if you want to know the movies in advance, just email us). It should be a Friday of Food, Fencing, Film and Fun for all. Hope to see you there!
Iron Knight
Our annual Iron Knight tournament is also fast approaching! This exciting event combines fencing and endurance. The entire event is one large round-robin; if there are 30 people, you will fence the other 29, if there are 50 people you will fence 49 bouts! Each bout is structured uniquely as well; rather than fencing to 5 or 15, all bouts are no time-limit, win by four. This means you can win 4-0, 14-10, or 100-96! Last year, one bout lasted almost an hour and a half! The Iron Knight is on Sunday, June 15th. Sign up , and see if you have what it takes to become the next Iron Knight!
Club Closures During Nationals
Due to Johnny and I being in Columbus for most of the National Championships, we need to adjust the club schedule slightly during that time. HoF will be closed Wednesday, July 2nd and Thursday, July 3rd. Additionally, there will be no Buccaneers class on Wednesday, June 25th. Jim and Walt will be here during our absence, so all other scheduled lessons will continue as per regular.
