Upcoming NAC's, ROC's, SYC's & RYC's

Leading up to Nationals this email newsletter was full of dates, links and info. But after all this, the number of our fencers who did not attend nationals because of missing the dates was unbelievable. This truly bothers me because I get upset with myself, I should have known better, I should have spoken with everybody, I blame myself. Which is wrong, you must take responsibility for your fencing, for your planning travel etc etc etc. Hooked on Fencing will try and remind you, encourage you, show you the way, but in the end, you must be the driving force.

October North American Cup in Milwaukee is Oct 11 -13, EVENTS Cadet, Div 2 , Y14

UPCOMING SYC RYC

The SUPER Youth Circuit, and Regional Youth Circuit events are listed on askFRED . A super is a higher level then regional, carries more weight, has to meet certain standards. Regional ones can be quite a show in its own right. A super usually draws the top of the point standings and more fencers will travel from further away. WE have some of our fencers who will be traveling to Texas over labor day for a SUPER. A list of SYC can be found here as well as a list of ROC, Regional OPEN circuit, which means you must be born in 2000 or earlier I highly recommend that we go to the following SYC's: Gutenberg in Rochester, NY late October Sobel in New Jersey in November Capital clash in Baltimore in late January

As for ROC, our older fencers should go to as many as they can, they are listed on the USFA and sign up on askFRED
