Tuesday Night Training

We are starting a new session of Tuesday Night Training that will run all 9 Tuesdays throughout April and May. These classes focus on conditioning, footwork, tactical drills, and competitive fencing, and are open to all tournament fencers age 13 and above. The whole session has a cost of $100. Practices will run from 6:30 to 8:30pm, and the expectation is that fencers will arrive by 6:30 and stay for the whole practice. Expect to work hard! You may sign up at the club.

Also, for the first time, we will be doing a version of Tuesday Night Training for the Y12 age group (born 2005-2007) from 5:00 to 6:30pm. These practices are open to fencers who have competed in tournaments outside the club. This session also has a cost of $100. Fencers should arrive by 5pm and be prepared to work hard the whole time. You may also sign up for this sesson at the club.

Renting Competition Equipment

HoF will be starting a new policy on renting competition equipment to tournament fencers. While we are happy to support our competitive fencers, this is a costly endeavor and has not entirely served its original purpose. Our supply of competition weapons was never intended to be your personal armory, but rather a helpful runway for competitive fencers as they build up their own set of equipment.

Therefore, going forward, we will rent sets of 1 weapon and 1 bodycord for a fee of $15 per weekend. First-time competitors may borrow equipment at no cost, but once you have begun to compete it is time to start thinking about purchasing your own competition equipment.
