December NAC Entry Deadline - November 3

Tuesday Night Training

Our next edition of Tuesday Night Training will begin THIS Tuesday (10/26) and run for 7 weeks. These practices will take place from 6:30-9pm, and are intended for fencers 13 and up with a competitive USFA membership. This session of TNT will lead up to the December North American Cup in Columbus, so this is a great way to prepare for that event! We'll focus on conditioning, speed and agility, and bout management ranging from strategic situations to tactical drills. Expect this to be more intense than regular practice, and plan to stay for the whole thing! The cost of these extra practices is $100 for the whole session, and you can sign up right here .

HoF 'D' and Under Tournament

Don't forget, we are holding a 'D' and Under Tournament THIS Saturday (10/23) at Hooked on Fencing! It's not too late to sign up and fence! If a few more fencers register, this event could possibly award a 'C' rating. It's also important to register early and participate in all club tournaments. This is the main way that tournaments attract more participants from outside the club, and you will benefit from great events happening right at HoF! Speaking of which, don't forget to register ASAP for our Open Tournament in November! Let's make it a great event!

Escrime d'Halloween

This past weekend, HoF fencers competed at the Escrime d'Halloween and achieved some great results! Across 5 events, HoF students earned 17 medals, including 3 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze medal finishes! Congratulations to Fritz Micko, Paxon Elyaderani, and Elena Miinea for winning their age categories, and to all our other fencers who competed! Regardless of the result, every tournament is valuable experience and it was great to see some new fencers starting their competitive journeys. Let's continue to work hard and get out there!

December NAC

Registration is now open for the North American Cup in Columbus, Ohio! It's not often a National tournament is right in our backyard, so don't miss the opportunity to compete. This event will include Cadet, Junior, and Division I tournaments. If you are a a 'C' or higher, you should absolutely take part in Division I! To our teenage competitors, this is a great opportunity to either continue your competition path, or experience a high-level tournament for the first time. If you're not sure whether you should compete, feel free to ask about this event at the club! The regular deadline to register is November 3rd, so sign up soon !
