Thanksgiving Tournament
We are holding our first tournament of the season on Sunday, November 29! There will be two events: an open and Y14. This is a sanctioned event, which means a competitive membership is required. In order to honor space considerations, we are limiting sign-ups for both events--18 fencers for Y14 and 21 fencers for the open. Sign up soon! Also, to the degree possible, we are aiming to limit or eliminate spectators. We'll pass along more info as the event gets closer! The previous week, HoF will be closed on Thursday, November 26 (Thanksgiving).
USA Fencing COVID-19 Rules
USA Fencing recently released updated policies for sanctioned tournaments, the primary rule being that fencers at USFA tournaments MUST wear face coverings beneath their fencing masks. Accordingly, we will be enforcing the same rule at the club to align with USA Fencing policy and prepare all fencers for competition. You can read all the new rules for yourself here .
Membership & Competitive Gear
If you haven't already, you must purchase or upgrade to a competitive USA Fencing membership before taking part in sanctioned tournaments. You can do that here . Also, if you haven't fenced in a USFA competition before, and would like to, talk to us at the club or through email! We have a library of competition weapons and bodycords that are available to borrow/rent, but fencers must have the rest of their equipment in order to compete. That gear is available for purchase at the club, but some sizes may need to be ordered, so don't wait!
