Holiday Closures

HoF will be CLOSED on Thursday, November 28th and Saturday, November 30th for Thanksgiving! Enjoy your holidays and see you after the break! Looking ahead to Christmas/New Years, we will also be closed on Wednesday, December 25th, Thursday, December 26th, and Wednesday, January 1st. Make sure to put those dates on your calendar!

Tuesday Night Training

We will be holding another session of Tuesday Night Training (TNT) across 5 dates from December 3rd through January 14th (no practice on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve). These extra practices are for fencers age 13 and up and are geared towards building a competitive mindset. We will focus on conditioning, strategy, and competitive fencing. This is the perfect way to stay sharp during the holiday season and prepare for tournaments in 2025! TNT will run from 6 to 8:30 pm and fencers should plan to be there for the whole time. The cost of this session is $100 and you can sign up in person or right here .

Youth Tournament/'E' and Under

We are holding a Y12 Unsanctioned Youth Tournament on Saturday, December 14th starting at 1:00pm! This is a great chance for many of our younger fencers to have fun and get more experience with fencing tournaments! Be sure to sign up beforehand at this link! This event is open to all HoF fencers 12 and younger, and no extra equipment is required. Check the above link for more info!

For our older fencers, we are also hosting an 'E' and Under on Saturday, December 7th. Sign up now , and let's make this event a good one!

Junior Olympic Qualifiers

The Junior Olympic qualifiers will once again be held at HoF this year! This is one of the primary ways to qualify for the Junior Olympics , which will be held in Charlotte, NC the weekend of February 14-17th. If you hope to compete in Charlotte, you should fence in this event! You can read about other qualifying paths at the JO's event page above. Be sure to pre-register for the qualifiers by December 13th. You can also check out other National and Regional tournaments on the left-hand side of this email. Don't forget to sign up!

Electric Epee Raffle

Our annual epee raffle is officially underway! Now through December 16th, we will be selling raffle tickets, and one lucky winner will walk away with a brand-new epee! Tickets are $5 each, and can be purchased in-person at the club, or online right here . There is no limit to how many tickets you can purchase, and of course, the proceeds will help the club in our continuing mission to grow the sport of fencing! We will hold the drawing for the winner at the Christmas party, although you do not have to be present to win.

Christmas Party

Speaking of which, our annual Christmas Party will be held on Monday, December 16th! This will take the place of regular practice that Monday. Everyone is invited--fencers, family, and friends! This is always a good chance for our members to get together and have a good time! Bring a snack, dish, or dessert to share... we'll also hold a one-touch tournament for all our fencers, with prizes and gifts, and of course, the drawing for the Electric Epee Raffle!
