Thanksgiving hours
This week is Thanksgiving. Aren't you glad I reminded you.
HoF will be open Monday Wednesday and Saturday as usual.
HoF will be closed on Thursday, enjoy your day.
Adjustment to hours
We are making a slight adjustment to our hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
This change will have little affect on all fencers yet increase our total workout and fencing levels.
5pm our youth group as normal.
At 545 pm ( 15 minutes earlier) I would like the 6pm group (teens/advanced beginners) to come in and stretch out on their own. At 6pm, I would like them to begin fencing,
At 6pm the older youth fencers (ages 11, 12) are invited to continue to fence with the next group.
At 645 we will do footwork until 7 or so.
The 7 pm fencers should come in at 630 stretch and be ready for footwork at 645.
After the 645 footwork, our teens/advanced beginners are invited to stay as late as they want for open fencing.
So as you can see no ones schedule has changed, just enhanced.
D & Under Tournament
Sunday December 1, 2013 we are hosting a USFA event. It is a D and under Epee tournament.
There are many HOF fencers who had not signed up yet. HOF fencers should sign up for HOF events early. By signing up early more people will come from far away. So sign up today through askFRED . If you are not a USFA competitive member but have fenced in Club Champs (which are coming soon again) and want to upgrade to this level, see one of the coaches and we can get you ready for Sunday.

Holiday Party & FFFFFF Night
We will hold our annual Holiday party and awards night on Wednesday 12/18 from 6pm to whenever, please bring stuff to share with the rest of the group.
Our next FFFFFF (Free, Friday Fencing, Film, Fun, Fiesta.) will be Friday 1/24
Holiday gifts
Since the Holidays are approaching, why not buy a fencing class for someone? A great way to share your passion of fencing, HoF will help you. Will give you 20 percent off the class if you buy it for a Holiday present, see Johnny or Walt
Also, lets not forget Fencing Equipment as a gift. Fencing equipment is always a great gift, and you or your loved one should have his or her stuff.
The first thing every fencer should have is a mask, jacket and glove, after that every fencer should get an epee, body cord and fencing bag
Finally, if you or yours is a competitive fencer and goes to USFA events, then in time you will need 4 weapons and 3 body cords at least.
HoF keeps extra body cords and weapons for our members to borrow. This is a service we provide to help out the beginner tourney goer. As you fence more you must take responsibility for your own fencing and fencing equipment. When a tourney is coming up, the back up equipment goes to the more novice fencer, so remember this equipment is to help you in the beginning.
Hug a loved one,
~Walt
