Summer Cookout

Our annual Summer cookout is THIS Monday, July 29th! This is a chance for all members of the club to come together, celebrate the past season, send off our college fencers, and have a great time! All fencers, family members, and friends are welcome to attend. The cookout will start at 6pm on July 29th and take the place of regular practice that day. See you all there!

Volunteers Needed!!!

We still need volunteers to help with a series of fencing demonstrations next week! On Sunday, July 28th and Tuesday, July 30th, Hooked on Fencing is participating in a series of fencing demonstrations at Crocker Park, coinciding with the 2024 Summer Olympics! We are currently scheduled for three total timeslots--Sunday from 4:30-7pm, Tuesday at 2-4:30pm, and Tuesday at 4:30-7pm. We need as many fencers as possible to be involved, and currently have almost no one signed up!!! Ideally, there will be fencers to fence each other during each timeslot, as well as a few people on hand to interact with interested onlookers. No expertise needed to participate, just enthusiasm! There is a sign-up at the club; or, send us an email if interested! Those involved should bring their fencing gear and meet by the Regal Cinema at Crocker Park on either day!

New Fencing Season

The new fencing season starts on August 1st! Don't forget to renew your USA Fencing membership, which you can do right here . If you plan to compete this season, you will need a Competitive membership, although an Access membership will allow you to take part in club practice and compete in local events. Don't wait; all fencers MUST have an active USA Fencing membership in order to be eligible to fence beginning August 1st!
