Spring Tournament Schedule

HoF Y12 Event

This Sunday is our in-house, 12 and under tournament. The event is non-sanctioned, and therefore open to ALL of our Y12 fencers (born 2008 or later). This will be a fun, low-pressure event that also helps our fencers become familiar with the rhythm of fencing tournaments! The tournament starts at 1pm. That means fencers should be at the club by 12:30 (or earlier) in order to stretch, warm up, and get ready for the event. We will start right at 1pm! We're also requesting that spectators be limited to one parent/spectator per fencer; this helps us follow space restrictions and makes us able to hold these events. If you plan to attend, let us know through email or by signing up at the club. See you there!

HoF Unrated Tournament

On Sunday, April 11, we are holding another unrated tournament ! This a sanctioned event, meaning that US Fencing membership and full fencing attire are required. This event is open to all competitive fencers age 13 and above. The event starts at 1pm. If enough fencers attend, the winner will earn their E21! Regional Events

As the COVID situation continues to improve, regional tournaments are once more being held. You can browse the full line-up of regional tournaments here (our region is region 2). All of these tournaments are good options for our competitive fencers! Local events are more convenient, but out-of-state tournaments can offer valuable experience against a wide variety of opponents. One that should not be missed is the Escrime d'Un-Halloween . Not only is this tournament a National qualifying path, it's right in our backyard (Lakewood). Y10, Y12, Y14, and Cadet events will be fenced. There is a limit on the number of competitors, so don't wait to sign up! All of our competitive fencers in this age group should fence this event!!!

National Tournaments

US Fencing has officially unveiled the upcoming slate of North American Cups (NACs). NACs will take place every month between now and August, with nearly every event featured. There are new COVID-based restrictions in place, as well as modified entry procedures, so I encourage you to read the new policies . If you are a competitor who has previously fenced in National tournaments, I strongly recommend entering at least one of these events. The May and June NACs will be held in Minneapolis and Richmond respectively, and the July National Championships will take place in Philadelphia--all reasonable drives/short flights! The qualification paths for the National Championships can be found here , and this means a Northern Ohio Division qualifier will be held sometime soon.
