Spring Cleaning

We will be doing our annual Spring Cleaning on Saturday, May 7th, at noon. We will get the club ready for summer, do some cleaning and repairs, and generally keep the club in tip-top shape! The more of our members come to help, the faster we can get these chores done! If you are a contributing member of the club, you should be there to help out! If plenty of people come to help, we should be done no later than 3pm.

We mostly have everything needed but a few extra things will not hurt, so if you can bring some cleaning supplies that you can use it would be greatly appreciated (ladder, mop, feather duster, vacuum, tall duster to reach the roof, windex) and hopefully some paper towels as we are running low on them.

Lost weapon

Please look in your bags and see if you find an extra weapon with Matt Kuehn written inside the guard. Matt put it down by his bag during footwork and someone took it by mistake.

Thanks,

~Johnny

Summer Camps

This summer, we will be holding two summer camps. On July 11-15, we will hold our first ever HoF Youth Camp ! The youth camp is open to all fencers aged 10-12; you can follow the link above for more information or to sign up online. This camp will involve games, new skills, and a big emphasis on fun.

Then, on August 8-12, we will again hold our Advanced Epee Camp . This camp is for all competitive membership fencers age 13 and above, and is designed to provide some higher-intensity training for athletes preparing for the upcoming competitive season. All the important info can be found at the link above.

Summer Beginner Classes

Youth and Adult Summer Classes begin on Saturday, June 4th! Make sure you spread the word; if anyone you know might be interested in fencing, these classes are a great way to experience fencing for the first time! Parents of fencers, if you want to get a feel for what your kids do week in and week out, our summer Adult Class could be a lot of fun! Follow the link for more info!

Have a good week,

-Nick
