Milwaukee NAC Results

This past weekend, several of our fencers competed in a North American Cup (NAC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Special congratulations go to Harry Kimatian; in Cadet (U17) Harry finished 3rd of 222 fencers! Then, in Junior (U20), Harry doubled his bronze with a 3rd place finish in a field of 260 competitors. The combined result makes Harry 9th in the Cadet National Rankings. Way to go, Harry!

There are more opportunities this season for our fencers to compete at the National level, with upcoming events in Columbus and Cleveland! Speaking of which...

Columbus NAC Deadline

The January North American Cup will be held on January 6-9 in Columbus, Ohio. This is a sweet opportunity for our Div I, Junior, and Wheelchair fencers to compete at the national level close to home! The deadline to register is November 23; sign up here and let us know if you are interested in doing a Senior Team.

Junior Olympic Qualifiers

The Junior Olympics (February 17-20) will be held this year in Kansas City. In order to qualify, you must attend the Northern Ohio Division Qualifier on December 17-18. Sign up in advance!

Tuesday Night Training

In preparation for the many upcoming tournaments, we will be starting a new session of Tuesday Night Training on November 29th. These practices are open to any fencer age 13 and above who is a USFA competitive member. Each practice will be from 6-8pm and consist of conditioning, footwork, and competitive fencing. Fencers should plan on being there by 6 and staying until 8. The cost of this session is $100, and the session will run every Tuesday through the end of January. These practices will help make you a much tougher fencer!

Closed on Wed & Thurs for Thanksgiving

Hooked on Fencing will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday next week (11/23 &11/24) for the Thanksgiving holiday. Enjoy your celebrations and come back ready to work off those Thanksgiving meals!

Electric Epee Raffle

Tickets are currently on sale for our annual Electric Epee Raffle! For $5 a ticket, you can enter for a chance to win a fully-wired, brand new electric epee! Buy more tickets to multiply your chances! The drawing will be held at the Christmas Party on 12/19. You can purchase tickets at the club or online .

Deadline for Christmas Orders

Christmas is around the corner and fencing equipment makes a fantastic gift! If you would like to purchase equipment for your fencer, place your orders by December 10th in order to guarantee delivery by Christmas. You can still purchase equipment after that date, but stock may be limited.

Christmas Party and Awards Night

The annual Hooked on Fencing Christmas Party will be held on Monday, December 19th. We will eat, hang out, hold a one-touch tourney, present our annual awards, and more! Put it on your calendars!
