Junior Olympics weekend and upcoming classes!

CLOSED ON 2/13 and 2/15

Closed on Saturday and Monday

Due to a combination of the Junior Olympics (which are this weekend) and Presidents Day, HoF will be closed on both Saturday and Monday. If you would still like to get your fencing fix this weekend, I strongly encourage you to go and watch some of the Junior Olympics, which will be held at the Cleveland Convention Center from Friday until Monday.

Junior Olympics

Speaking of which, the Junior Olympics is a great opportunity to pick up some new equipment, get names printed on the backs of jackets, or observe some high-level fencing in action. The venue will be open from morning until evening Friday-Monday. It is one of the few places where you can try on fencing gear before buying it, which is always a good thing. HoF fencers will be fencing all 4 days of the competition, but if you interested in coming out to support either of our teams, our men's team will fence at around 11:30am on Saturday, and our women's team will fence at around 2:30pm on Sunday. Make sure to wear Hooked on Fencing black and blue!

Deadline to Register for Arnold Games

Monday is the deadline to register for the Arnold Games, which will be held in Columbus on March 4-6. If you are planning on going, but have not yet signed up, make sure you register by the 15th! You can sign up by clicking "preregister" on this page .

Youth and Adult Beginner Classes

Our Spring beginner classes start on Saturday, February 20th. All of the relevant info can be found right here . Like always, our members are the best advocates of the club and the sport of fencing! I encourage you to think of one person this week you can tell about fencing and invite them to participate; if everyone reading this email recommended a fencing class to just one person, we could fill our classes a few times over!
