Information about tomorrow's Club Championships

Club Championships

Tomorrow is our first Club Championship event for Y10, Y12, and Y14. The combined Y10/Y12 event will begin at 9am sharp; 9:01 is too late! Doors will open at 8:00am, so come early! Knickers and underarm protectors are NOT required (chest protectors for ladies are), so just come as you normally come to fence. If you normally use club weapons and body cords, they will be available for you. The pools will be split, Y10 in one and Y12 in the other. Direct eliminations will be fenced to 15 touches, 3 periods of 3 minutes.

The Y14 event will begin at 1:00pm

The Club Championships will run throughout the 2013/14 fencing season, with competitions being held every other month. Athletes will accumulate points based on their performances, and in June of 2014 we will crown our 2013/14 men's and women's Club Champions!

The entry fee is $10 and you can participate in 2 events, for example: if you are 12 and want to participate in Y14 or 14 and want to participate in Cadet/Junior/Open then you will only pay one fee of $10, the money will be used to pay for a Champions' banner. Extra money will be used to fund fencing gift cards that will be awarded to winners of the individual events!
