Deadline to register for March NAC - 1/27

Cleveland NAC Deadline to Register

Cleveland is hosting a North American Cup on the weekend of March 10-13. This is a very large national event, and it will probably be quite a while before there is another national event this close. It is therefore an excellent opportunity for our fencers to compete and gain valuable national experience. The events contested are Y10, Y12, Y14, and Div II. Our competitive fencers in these categories should not pass up this opportunity to compete!

The deadline to register is fast approaching--January 27 is the regular entry fee deadline! If you are not sure whether you should fence in this event, talk to Johnny or myself and we will discuss. However, I highly recommend this event for most of our eligible fencers, because the opportunity is not a common one. You can sign up and view more details about the event here .

Even if you are not fencing in any events at the March NAC, it is a great event to attend as a spectator and see some competitive fencers in action, and while there you can browse various fencing equipment vendors at the Convention Center. There is no cost to spectate and the schedule and additional details can be found at the link above.

Arnold Games

The Arnold Games are also coming soon! This multi-sport festival and competition in Columbus will hold fencing events on March 3-5. There will be a wide variety of age categories contested, and this is great event for youth fencers to compete (and stay sharp for the NAC the following weekend). There are also Open and Veteran categories at this event. The deadline to register is February 13th, and all the relevant details can be found here .

Cleveland State Open

There is an open tournament this Sunday at Cleveland State, which our competitive fencers should absolutely be going to, ESPECIALLY if they are preparing to fence at the Junior Olympics next month. Sign up and fence this Sunday!
