Thanksgiving, Christmas, and January NAC.

Closed on Thanksgiving 11/23/17

Closed for Thanksgiving

We will be closed next Thursday for Thanksgiving. Wednesday and Saturday will be regular practices. Enjoy your holiday!

Club Championships

Our first Club Championships of the season will be held the first weekend of December. This is the first of four such events to take place over the course of the fencing season. All HoF fencers are invited to take part, whether or not you are a USFA competitive member. You also do not need to own full competition equipment! The Senior (13 and up) will take place on Saturday, 12/2, and all of the youth events (Y10, Y12, Y14, and U19) will take place on Sunday, 12/3. Find the full details and sign up here .

Christmas Party and Epee Raffle

This year's annual Christmas party will be Monday, December 18th. All HoF fencers and families are invited! We will have food, awards, and other HoF traditions. We will provide more info as the date gets nearer. We will also be starting our annual Electric Epee Raffle next week! You will be able to purchase tickets for $5 online or at the club, and one lucky winner will receive a brand new epee.

Equipment and Warm-ups

With the holidays fast approaching, new fencing equipment can make an excellent gift. You can purchase any equipment through us; however, the deadline to purchase equipment from us with a guarantee to be ready by Christmas is Thursday, December 14th. We should also be receiving our new warm-up jackets sometime in December... we will let you know when these become available for purchase!

January Beginner Classes

Our next session of beginner classes, both youth and adult, begins around the second week of January. We want to start 2018 out right by sharing the sport of fencing with as many people as possible, and you can help with this. Help grow the sport by either 1) sharing this link on your facebook page, or 2) passing this info onto someone you think might be interested. Most new fencers get started through word of mouth!

January NAC

The January North American Cup in Virginia Beach is happening the weekend of January 5-8th. Division I, Junior, and Wheelchair events will be fenced. This is good event for our more competitive teenage fencers, especially those who are C rated or better. The deadline to register is next week: November 22. Check out USFencing to sign up.
