HoF Team Gear
Hooked on Fencing warm-ups, hoodies, and t-shirts are currently available!!! We are currently running an online team store, which will accept orders through March 27. This is your chance to stock up on HoF merch and tournament apparel, so get it while you can! You can get t-shirts and hoodies in black or blue (our colors!) and team warm-ups are in royal blue. If you only get one item, I recommend a warm-up (Epic knit jacket 2.0), since these are worn at tournaments, on medal podiums, and let you represent the club. This way, all our fencers can look sharp when we travel to competitions together! You can also currently purchase black and blue socks at the club, to complete your HoF tournament set. Parents--don't forget to grab some merch for yourselves! The online team shop is right here . Make sure to place your order by March 27!
Tournament Results
In the past few weeks, our fencers have competed in a whole bunch of tournaments at the club, around the state, and beyond! Lots of lessons learned and results achieved-- here are some of the highlights: HoF swept several events, including our own Mixed Open and "D" and Under events, as well as the Anne Chapman Invitational at WRA. Last weekend, 8 fencers represented HoF at the GRAFA Third Coast Cup in Grand Rapids, winning 2 events and earning 10 medals! In Div 1A Men's Epee, Fritz Micko finished 3rd out of 44, Catherine Popa won Div II Women's Epee, and Gillian Schultz won Div 1A, with Catherine Popa and Michelle Schultz finishing 3rd and Elena Miinea finishing 5th. Congrats all!
Upcoming Tournaments
Don't forget to sign up for a few upcoming tournaments! We are holding both a Mixed Open AND an Unrated tournament on Sunday, March 26. The Ohio High School Championship is on Saturday, April 1. And Sunday, April 2, we are hosting an Unsanctioned Y10, Y12, + Y14 Tournament . This event is open to ALL club members 14 and younger, whether you've ever competed before and no matter whether you hold a competitive membership. Our younger fencers in particular should take the opportunity to attend and gain experience. Make sure you sign up in advance! askfred.net
