Summer Cookout
Our summer cookout is this Monday, July 20th. Follow this link and sign up to bring a dish, snack, or dessert! All of our members, as well as parents and siblings, are welcome to come! We'll cook, eat, and hang out from 5:00 to about 8:00pm. As a result, regular practice will not be held that day. We are still in need of a few things, if you can bring a grill or anything else on the list , it would be greatly appreciated!
Advanced Epee Camp
The summer camp is fast approaching; if you plan on attending you should sign-up. The camp is for competitive fencers aged 13 and up, and will be held from July 27th through the 31st. This is a great opportunity to improve and get in shape for next year. All of the details about the camp can be found here .
USFA Membership Renewal
The new 2015-2016 season starts on August 1st and everyone is required to be a member! There are two membership options, competitive and non-competitive; you should consider which membership is right for you. The non-competitive membership costs $10 a year, and simply covers USFA insurance. This is for those who only intend this year to fence and practice here at the club. The competitive membership is required for all those wishing to compete in USFA competitions this year, and will run you $70. Tuesday Morning Practices
We are holding practices on Tuesday mornings for the remainder of the summer. Doors open at 9:30am, and practice will last from 10:00am to 12:30pm. These practices are only for competitive USFA members. We will do footwork and then fence. Because we may fence a competition (pools or DE), please be there by the start time. You could all benefit from the extra practice.
Cedar Point Trip
On Friday, August 7th, we will once again be going to Cedar Point! We will meet at HoF in the morning, and leave HoF by 9:00am. Be here by 8:30! If enough people are interested, we can get a group discount, so let us know at the club if you plan to come! Parents, let us know if you are interested in driving/chaperoning. Kids under 12 are welcome to come, but only if parents come along.
