FFFFFF Night changed to May 5th
Our next FFFFFF Night will be Friday, May 5th. In no particular order, that'll be a Fun, Fencing, Food, Film, and Friends Friday. Doors will open at 5:30; you can fence, hang out, and we'll order pizza. We'll start our film at 7, and plan on ending around 9:15. You are welcome to bring a friend; they can watch you fence, or just hang out and watch the movie, but your friend cannot fence. As always, the movie will be a surprise. (Parents, we never watch anything R-rated, and if you are concerned, feel free to email back for the movie choice). Hope to see everyone there!
Ohio High School Championships
HoF brought home 4 medals!
Men's Epee
1st - Harry Kimatian
2nd - Stephen Kimatian
Women's Epee
3rd - Amanda Provance
3rd - Jenny Morris
This is the eleventh year in a row that one of our boys has brought home the state title, and the 18th state title overall! Congratulations to all of our medalists!
Spring Cleaning
We will be doing our annual Spring Cleaning on Saturday, May 6th, at noon. We will get the club ready for summer, do some cleaning and repairs, and generally keep the club in tip-top shape! The more of our members come to help, the faster we can get these chores done! If plenty of people come to help, we should be done no later than 3pm.
Summer Camps
Sign up early! We may attract some fencers from elsewhere if attendance looks good! We are hosting two camps this summer:
On July 17-21, we are holding our 2nd HoF Youth Camp ! The youth camp is open to all fencers aged 10-12; you can follow the link above for more information or to sign up online. This camp will involve games, new skills, and a big emphasis on fun.
The Advanced Epee Camp will be held July 24-28. If you do not have a prior obligation, EVERY SINGLE ONE of our competitive fencers should be in attendance. We cannot continue to be the best area club if our members are not committed to working hard and improving their skills.
