Club Championships

The 2nd event of the 2016/17 season will be this weekend.

Senior (13 and up) event will be on Saturday, starts at 3pm

Youth events and Under 19 are Sunday, 1/15/2017

Under 19 - 9:00am

Youth 10 - Noon

Youth 14 - Noon

Youth 12 - 3:00pm

Try to be here at least half an hour before the start of your event.

You can register online through askFRED or just show up. There is a $20 fee that goes towards the championship banner and gift certificates. A 10 year old can fence in Y12 for the same amount, or a Y12 fence in the Y14. You pay once, and if age appropriate you can fence in different events.

What is your age category? United States Fencing association uses the birth year as the age category. For example, if you are born in 2006, you would be in the Y10 event, born in 2002, Y14 event. You can fence up, if you are 10 years old, you can also fence in the Youth 12 event. 12 years old, you can fence in the Y14. 13 and over, you can fence in open events and Under 19 events.

Again, your age category is based on the year of birth, here is the list:

Y10 (2006-2009)

Y12 (2004-2007)

Y14 (2002-2005)

Cadet (Under 16) (2000-2003)

Junior (Under 19) (1997-2003)

Open (2003 or earlier)

Veterans (1977 or earlier)

Upcoming beginner classes

Youth beginner classes are starting on January 14th, Saturdays from 12:30pm to 2pm and January 27th, Fridays from 6pm to 7:30pm.

Parents, would you like to learn the sport your son or daughter is doing? The adult class starts on Tuesday, March 14th from 6:30pm to 8pm and will run for 6 weeks
