Club Championships

One last reminder--everyone make sure you sign up for our first Club Championships of the season (August 1st & 3rd). If you are a member of Hooked on Fencing, this event is for you! Let's try for a bigger turnout than last year!

Here's how the Championships work: there will be 6 events throughout the year (approximately one every even month). Based on how many people are at each event, and how well you place, you will earn points that last the whole season. There are several points categories: Y10, Y12, Y14, 16&Under, 19&Under, Open, and Veteran. Each of these categories will have both a men's and women's champion. If you have the highest number of points in your category at the end of the season, you will be the champion and your name will go on the wall! We are also adding two new rules this year. First, only your top 4 results will count. This means that even if you miss 2 events, you can still win! Or, even better, come to all 6 to give yourself the best chance possible! Secondly, you must come to at least 2 events to be in the running.

So let's start the season off with a bang! Sign up online (if you've never used AskFRED before, you will need to create a new fencer account) and we'll see you this Friday and Sunday!
