Closed on Halloween!
Apologies for the late notice, but Hooked on Fencing will be closed on Monday, October 31 for Halloween. Looking forward to the rest of the year, we will also be closed on November 24 (Thanksgiving), December 24 and 26 (Christmas), and December 31 (New Year's Eve), so put those on your calendar! There are no current plans to close on any other days this year. We are also thinking of hosting a 3-day Winter Camp on December 27-29, so keep that in mind as well. Enjoy your holiday!
Bring-A-Friend Tournament
On Saturday, November 5th, we're holding a Bring-A-Friend Tournament at 1:30pm. Be sure to sign up at the club this week or next! There will be a good prize for the winner! If you participated in the Bring-A-Parent Tournament, this is basically the same idea, but with friends! Fencers can invite a friend who has never fenced, and coach them in an all-beginners tournament! This is open to all of our members, and there is a sign-up available at the club. See you all there!
Date Change - 'D' and Under
Our upcoming 'D' and Under event (originally December 3) has been moved up to Sunday, November 20! If you were already signed up via AskFRED.net, you should have received an email informing you of this change. If you are not yet signed up, this is a great event for our many 'D', 'E', and Unrated fencers! This was done in order to avoid conflict with the Denison University Open , which is scheduled for Saturday, December 3. I highly recommend this event as well for many of our members. There are separate Men's and Women's events and a good competition field for our members. If you can make it, sign up at the link above!
