Christmas Party, Holiday Schedule, and Electric Epee Raffle!

Closed Thanksgiving Day

We will be closed on Thanksgiving day, but open on Wednesday the 25th. Come back afterwards to work off those Thanksgiving meals!

Christmas Party and Year-End Awards

We will be holding our Christmas Party this year on Wednesday, December 16th. This event is open to all fencers and their families. We will be eating food, holding a one-touch tournament, and presenting our year-end awards. There may be a few surprises as well! Come and celebrate the end of the year with the Hooked on Fencing Family!

Electric Epee Raffle

Since the Christmas party is less than a month away, we are also kicking off our Electric Epee Raffle! We will once again be raffling away a brand-new epee! Each raffle ticket is $5, and can be purchased at the club or online here .

November Club Championships

The November Club Championships are coming up! We will be holding events November 28th and 29th. This event is for all members, not just competitive ones. You can register online or get more information at the club.

Turkey Stab Mixed Open

This Sunday at 2:00 there will be an Open event at Oberlin College. This event is open to all competitive fencers aged 13 and above. Hooked on Fencing has always been a force at local events; this is how we build our reputation as a club and these tournaments are where we develop our competitive skills as fencers. All competitive fencers should prioritize these events! Sign up online .

St. Louis January NAC Deadline

The deadline to register for the January NAC in St. Louis is November 30th. The schedule can be found here , and the events include Division I, Junior, and Senior Team. Register soon, and let us know if you are interested in fencing on a senior team.

Equipment for the Holidays

Fencing equipment makes a great Christmas present! If you plan on gifting any equipment this season, make sure you get your orders in soon! The ABSOLUTE cut-off date to order equipment and have it by Christmas is December 16th. But, the sooner the better!

Holiday Closures

This year, HoF will be closed December 24th through January 1st. This means that the last practice of the year will be held on Wednesday, December 23rd, and we will resume regular practice on Saturday, January 2nd. Enjoy your time off, and come back refreshed and ready to fence hard for the rest of the season!
