2012 Adult Winter Class
The winter class is a 12 week program. The class is every Thursday night for 1.5 hours and all equipment is provided. This class is for first time fencers ages 14 and older, looking to have a great time trying something new. Class size will be limited to 10 fencers. Total cost of the winter class program is $100.
The program is designed to increase in intensity throughout the duration of the 12-week course. Classes are tailored to the students skill level and ability in order to provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Above all, the students’ enjoyment of the program is the utmost priority. Students will learn about fencing and will receive lessons and participate in footwork drills. Practice sessions include the use of electronic scoring equipment. This co-ed program stresses the importance of fun, while staying active and participating in a different and amazing sport.
The Hooked on Fencing winter class offers group instruction every Thursday evening and sessions include conditioning/footwork, technique and tactics, individual lessons and bouting. Our emphasis is on instruction, fundamental technical and tactical skills. The class will teach the students how to move, attack & defend, using the Epee. All equipment such as jackets, masks, gloves, body cords, weapons, etc is included in the sessions. All people ages 14 and older are welcome and encouraged to participate! Here at Hooked on Fencing, students are encouraged to enjoy themselves and to learn an awesome sport that not everyone knows about.
This winter class is a great way for people to stay active during the winter and learn an unusual sport. In this winter class, experienced coaches demonstrate and teach skills and proper techniques through group lessons, games, drills, individual lessons and plenty of free electric bouting. At Hooked on Fencing, instructors are committed to providing safe, fun, and skill-focused activities for fencers. Beginners are invited and this class is a great way to keep busy and having fun throughout those winter colds. ALL EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED!
This program is all about fun and staying active throughout the winter. The goal at Hooked on Fencing is an enjoyable experience with the hope that students will pursue their interest in fencing beyond the class. This winter class will teach students the basic aspects of fencing and provides students with a seamless transition into the fencing class beyond the winter.
The Adult Winter Class is on every Thursday Evening from February 2, 2012 through April 19, 2012 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm
